Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is a CSA?
A CSA or "Community Supported Agriculture" program is a combined effort between a farm and a community of supporters.
Each year the harvest shareholders purchase a share of the harvest in the spring. This allows the farm to prepare for
the growing season and the harvest. By making this commitment a harvest shareholder assumes with the farmer the risks and
rewards of growing the food they will eat. We will do all of the work and have your harvest share box ready for you to pick
up at our farm each week. All you have to do is enjoy the harvest.
Q
How does it work? Sign up before May 15th. CLICK HERE to sign up. Select Fri, Sat or Sun as a pick-up day for your harvest share box. Your harvest share box will
await you at Dinihanian's Farm Market. Then, every week during the season you will stop by our farm on the
day you have chosen and recieve your harvest share.
Q What is included in Your Harvest Box? Each week will be diffrent. As the
season progresses, so does the variety and sometimes the quantity in your share. Some weeks may be fuller than other weeks
depending on Mother Nature. For a rough list of what might be available please CLICK HERE.
Q
What if we want to buy more produce?
We will have extra produce and other items listed on our Farm Store web page every
week. Visit our Farm Store page to find what we have available and see our good prices.
Q
How much food is in a share - how many people will it feed?
Our full shares are generally the right size
for a family of 4 and our half share is for a family of 2. However, this will depend on your family and
eating style and it is difficult to estimate the number of people each share will feed. Additional shares may be added during
the season if we think we can provide more shares with our existing crops at a prorated amount.
Q
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we accept
visa and master card now.
Q
Do you have different sizes of shares?
We have a full sized share, which is
usually enough for a family of 4. Or, a half sized share, which is usually enough for a family of 2.
Q
How long is
the season?
Our season runs 18 weeks approximately starting in the middle June and ending in the middle of October.
Q Can I special order?
We cannot accept special
orders. The only way to get a custom amount of an item will be to visit our Farm Store.
Q

do I pick-up?

a pick-up day Fri., Sat., Sun. or Mon. If you select Fri., Sat. or Sun. you will come to Dininhanian's Farm Market located
at 15005 NW Cornell
Rd. Beaverton, Oregon 97006. Monday pick ups are for Nike employees and contractors only and are at Nike (Cafe LA and Cafe
19). Someone will be ready and waiting to assist you on your pickup day.
Q What if we are not able to pick up our share?
We suggest you have a
friend or relative pick it up for you. We are unable to make any refunds because we have planted your share months earlier.
We will be working hard to grow and supply the produce that has been ordered.

price will be $450 for a full share and $306 for a half share. If you

Q
What does our produce come
in?
We use a heavy box that can be reused all throughout the season. Be careful with your boxes and bring them back in good
condition so that we can use them over and over again until they are worn out... Then we will replace them with new ones.
If you lose your box you will be charged $4 for a new one, and if you forget you will need to bring it back as soon as possible.
Q What if I miss my pick up time?
If you miss your pick
up time you can inform us by email and we will reschedule a time when you can stop by to pick up your share for that week.
Q
How do I sign
up?
Q
When can I sign up?
We are accepting new members
until May 15th,
2010
Q
Do I need an email address to buy a share?
Yes. This is the only
way to communicate with you. We are farmers and we are very busy and cannot take phone calls when we are out in the field.
Q
What if I can no longer receive a harvest
box?
No refunds are granted. We work very hard to provide our service
and once the produce is planted, it must be picked up or it will go to a family in need. You may hear us say this from
time to time, "That's farming!" Farming isn't all a bed of roses. It's not an easy life but it is very rewarding
to know that we are providing the best possible produce to you and your family.
Q
Are your seeds GMO seeds? No, we do not buy or sell genetically engineered seeds or plant stocks.
